Terms of sale.

1. Scope
These terms apply to all purchases made on bgde.ch from [Legal name / sole proprietor], trading as BGDE, [postal address], Switzerland (contact@bgde.ch, +41 78 229 22 70). Design and engineering services and made-to-order pieces are governed by the individual quote accepted by the client; these terms apply in addition where the quote is silent.
2. Prices and payment
Prices are in Swiss francs (CHF). Shipping costs are shown at checkout before payment. Payment is made online through Stripe (card, TWINT, Apple Pay, Google Pay). The contract is concluded when payment is confirmed; you then receive a confirmation by email.
3. Delivery
- Items marked in stock are shipped within 5 working days of payment.
- Made-to-order pieces are delivered within the lead time stated on the product page or in the quote (typically 6–8 weeks).
- We ship within Switzerland and abroad. For deliveries outside Switzerland, import duties, taxes and customs fees are paid by the buyer.
- Delivery times are indicative. If a delay exceeds 30 days, you may cancel the order and receive a full refund.
Please check the parcel on receipt. Transport damage must be reported within 7 days with photos to contact@bgde.ch; we will repair or replace the item at our cost.
4. Returns
Swiss law provides no statutory right of withdrawal for online purchases. BGDE nevertheless offers the following voluntary return policy:
- Stock items may be returned within 14 days of delivery, unused, undamaged and in their original packaging.
- Announce the return by email before sending it. Return shipping is at the buyer's cost and risk.
- We refund the purchase price, excluding initial shipping costs, within 14 days of receiving the item, using the original payment method.
- Made-to-order, customised or engraved pieces, and services, cannot be returned.
5. Warranty
Our products are covered by a lifetime warranty against material and manufacturing defects, for as long as the original buyer owns the product. This voluntary warranty is in addition to the statutory warranty (art. 197 ff. CO), which it does not limit. Report any defect promptly after discovery to contact@bgde.ch with a description and photos. We will, at our choice, repair the item, replace it, or refund the price.
The warranty does not cover normal wear, scratches from use, damage caused by misuse, unsuitable cleaning products, modification, or improper installation (e.g. fixing to an unsuitable wall).
6. Liability
BGDE is liable for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence. Any further liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory liability under the Swiss Product Liability Act remains reserved.
7. Intellectual property
Designs, drawings, photos and texts on this site remain the property of BGDE. Buying a product does not grant any right to reproduce its design.
8. Data protection
Personal data is processed as described in our privacy policy.
9. Applicable law and jurisdiction
Swiss law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The place of jurisdiction is Bern. Consumers may also sue at their place of residence.
